The removal of wisdom teeth is necessary if there is not enough room in the back of the mouth for the wisdom teeth to grow, not having them removed may cause a lot of problems. If the teeth are not fully erupted and positioned correctly it may cause the jaw and/or biting surface to be thrown off. Also, if the wisdom teeth are not able to be cleaned removal is pertinent to avoid decay.
